It's the anonymous gardening of public spaces.
It's quite established in London where guerilla gardeners meet at the dead of night and tidy and plant up an area of public land - maybe a roundabout or some waste land along a public footpath etc.
Well I am my church's guerilla gardener - lol!
Very occasionally, I turn up when the church is deserted & plant up some bedding and just smile when people wonder"whodunnnit?" !!
Today I planted tobacco plants, bizzie lizzies, marigolds, lobelia and dahlias. One pot is "for" my dad and has a plaque I made "But with God all things are possible" Matthew 19:26
It was hot and humid. The air hung heavy and silent. I was totally at peace with the world :)

Then I came home and planted up areas of my own garden and mowed the lawn.
I am still battling with Mount Washmore ........
And then I had to battle with an ants nest in the living room - yuck. Have killed 'em and cleaned up after 'em and tomorrow I must seal the hole that accommodated 'em. It's all go isn't it?
It has been incredibly hot.
Attempts to find voluntary work have not been altogether successful........... I thought folks would be crying out for help? Maybe I haven't yet approached the people God thinks I should
be helping ~ smile~
Hope you are all ok.

I just love the title of guerilla gardening! The concept is wonderful! I think they call words/phrases that this new "urban dictionary."
May wonderful graces flow back to you for your kind efforts at your church!

What a neat idea, and you have done a wonderful job.
Hope the ant situation is under control, as I have had similar problems in years past. Thanks for sharing
Blessings,
Sue
Breathing heavily after running through and catching up with the last few posts. Glad your holiday was good.
I read a recent article in Country File about guerilla gardening..one could get arrested!!
Ants, laundry pile ups, noses to wipe and beds to make - all sweet work, deserving of a pretty cup of tea for the servant-hearted girl!
